How OmniTool handles local browser processing, files, preferences, analytics, advertising, and contact data.
Last updated: May 11, 2026
Local processing
Most core tools process data in your browser. Examples include text tools, Base64 tools, JSON formatting, hash generation, URL encoding, image conversion, image resizing, image Base64 conversion, favicon generation, color extraction, and similar utilities. For these workflows, normal tool input is processed locally in the page.
Files and generated examples
When you select an image or file in a local tool, the file is read by your browser so the tool can preview, transform, or export a result. Some image tool examples generate a temporary sample file locally in your browser. These examples are not fetched from a third-party source and are not uploaded as part of normal use.
Browser storage
OmniTool may store limited preferences in your browser, such as selected language, theme, recently used tools, and UI state. This storage helps the site feel consistent between visits. You can clear it through your browser settings.
Server-side features and API access
Some future or optional features may require server-side processing, API access, accounts, billing, support, or rate limiting. If you choose to use those features, we may process the information needed to provide them, such as request data, email address, support messages, API metadata, billing identifiers, and security logs.
Analytics and advertising
We may use analytics or advertising services to understand traffic, improve pages, prevent abuse, and support the service. These services may process technical data such as page URL, device and browser information, referrer, approximate location, interaction events, and cookie or similar identifiers, depending on the provider.
Contact information
If you email us at [email protected], we will use your email address and message content to respond to your request. We may keep related messages for support history, security, and business records.
Your choices
You can avoid optional account or API features, clear browser storage, block cookies, or use browser privacy controls. If you need help with privacy questions, contact us by email.
